God Bless This Mess
Through out all the stress and drama in my life I found comfort in TV. It showed a world outside my dysfunctional family and the small town I grew up in. TV showed a place where families liked one another, communication was a means to an end, love was real and even attainable, and the only people who died were transitory characters that didn’t have much to do with the main scripted narrative.
God Bless This Mess is an installative body of work exploring the effects of television, suburbia, and grief on my family though the use of allegory and aesthetic.
